![]() Basically the end inverts many assumptions that make the whole shows meaning change. And it has an amazing story that kind of pulls itself inside out over the 13 episodes progression. I listen to it while studying all the time!īeyond the Boundary, (Kyoukai no Kanata), has some similarities and is one of the most stunningly beautiful anime's i have seen in a long time, The animation is brilliantly fluid and vibrant as are the colors, lighting and action. The Soundtrack to Spice and Wolf is amazing. ![]() ![]() Does anything similar come to mind? It doesn't have to be a romance, just so long as it involves a mortal and a, preferably non-human, immortal developing a strong bond. If you can't tell, I really like Spice and Wolf. It really makes sure you are invested in the two main characters before any romance starts. It also had some of the most fluid writing I've ever seen, and for a novel series that was translated from Japanese to English, that's saying something. I certainly learned a lot while reading them! All of the stories in the novels were original, interesting, and exciting. There is a lot of outsmarting opponents and using whit and cooperation to get out of impossible situations in the novels the use of rather complicated economic concepts in such an interesting and engaging manner really took me by surprise. On their journey to the north, the two must avoid discovery by the Church and solve some interesting economic dilemmas (the main character is a merchant, after all). To give you an idea of what its about, the series is set in a fictionalized late medieval Germany and follows the story of a cunning merchant who reluctantly ends up traveling with a wise and playful wolf deity in the form of a young maiden with a wolf's tail and ears. I never thought I would want anything to do with a romance novel/anime, but this one stole my heart I was almost immediately hooked. How to get your own book title flairįirst of all, f you've never read/watched Spice and Wolf, I highly recommend it. Got any questions or requests? Feel free to message the moderators.
